Georges Carrey, born in Paris 1902, died in Knokke 1953.
Friend and pupil of Nicolas de Stael, the famous French abstract painter, who died himself in 1954 by suicide.

shown here date from 1945-1953. The white period representing the end of his oeuvre. Many American so Motherwell were making the same type of art work but
almost 10 years later than Carrey.
