"What is Art” ? This is definitely one of the most discussed and contradicted subject..

What is Art :

For Sir Edward Herbert Read: Art is an attempt to create pleasing forms. Sir Read (4 December 1893 – 12 June 1968) was an English art historian, poet, literary critic and philosopher, best known for numerous books on art, which included influential volumes on the role of art in education

For Clive Bell: Art is a form of great significance Arthur Clive Heward Bell (16 September 1881 – 17 September 1964 )was an English art critic associated with formalism and the Bloomsbury Group.
